David Roach has served as pastor of Emmanuel since July 2005. He is committed to the inerrancy, authority, and sufficiency of God's Word and believes that the Bible holds the answers to life's greatest problems. For that reason, he preaches the Bible verse-by-verse, thought-by-thought. His goal is to produce a God-centered, biblically literate, evangelistic body of believers who impact the world with the Gospel.
David holds a Ph.D. and a master of divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville as well as a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. He writes for the Bible teaching website Biblemesh.com and the website for pastors Kairosjournal.org. He also does freelance writing for various organizations and publications.
David is married to Erin, who works as an assistant editor for Baptist Press, the news service of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Stephen Bunger has served as minister of music at Emmanuel since June 2010. A graduate of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn., Stephen is pursing a master of arts in worship leadership at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. His wife, Natoshia, also is a graduate of Austin Peay and joins him in service at the church.
